Uncomfortably Comforted

Cowards covered by the darkness of night,

sought vicious reason, no intention to fight.

In an instant he was gunned down.

With no remorse for the man

taking

his

last

breath

on

the

cold

ground.

Repulsive varmints, scurry away you disgusting cowards.

You shoot down an innocent, do you feel empowered?

Nameless snakes have filled me with passionate hate.

A mother

a brother

a sister

an entire family you devastate.

An overwhelming hurt is unleashed as I hear my loved ones cry.

I’m uncomfortably comforted by the

unsettled

justice

of

an

eye

for

an

eye.
