Stemmed from a Lie

A woman one misjudged a man.
Believing pretense, believing lies,
blindly staring into cold unassuming eyes.
How swiftly she at up all the passionate words,
all
the
scripted
lines.
Leading with her heart but walking like the blind.
The fog lifted the curtain was pulled away.
She was face to face with a stranger, and she couldn’t convey
the truth nor the injustice,
of carefully orchestrated lie.
Undeserving tears, she hopelessly cried.
He’s starting a new game
as
a
new
blanket
of
deceit
he begins to sew.
But as a wise woman once said,
love
stemmed
from
a
lie,
will never grow.
